Northern Virginia Parents of Multiples (NVPOM) is a volunteer group that provides both support and social activities for its membership. The purpose of NVPOM is to broaden the understanding of those aspects of child development and rearing, which relate especially to multiples. This shall be accomplished through the interchange of information between parents, educators, doctors, and others; various social activities during which NVPOM members share their experiences and concerns raising multiples; and by assisting members and other families with multiples and engaging in charitable efforts including sponsoring two children’s clothing and equipment sales per year. NVPOM is non-discriminating and welcomes families in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, with twins or higher order multiples of any age to be a part of our growing family. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm, September through June, with the exception of January. The meeting locations may change each month with the focus of the meeting.
